Jenny Greene |
Jenny Greene developed an interest in music from a very young age, and got her first set of decks for Christmas at the age of 12. After a few years of bedroom mixing she finally got a break playing the warm-up slot on Saturday nights in The Palace on Camden St. While still in school and just 16 it provided a golden opportunity to play to a large crowd each week and learn the ropes. This then led to a Friday night residency at Club Zazu before it became Switch. Since then Jenny has played diverse sets at all major dance venues and events in Ireland such as Temple Theatre, Mono, Redbox, POD, Sosume, Café en Seine, Sin, Traffic, Creamfields, Zanzibar, The Savoy, Planetlove, Godskitchen At the age of 17 Jenny was approached by The Sunday World to write a Dance Column for their Metro section, which she did for over 2 years. In 2003 Jenny undertook her biggest challenge to date when she became the World Record Holder for ‘The Longest DJ Set’ beating the original record by 1 hour and playing for 75 hours continually. The event was held at Break for the Border in Dublin. Jenny’s music style has continually changed over the years. In the early days it was very much hard house and trance orientated. Then as the scene changed and she was offered nights in the likes of Sin, Sosume and Zanzibar Jenny’s sets became more deep and funky house. Nowadays her sets are much more electro and tech house but don’t be surprised to hear something a bit harder in between. In 2007 after 8 years with FM104 Jenny decided it was time for a change and a new challenge. She made the move to RTE 2fm where she secured a Friday night show playing the edgier side of the charts and indie remixes from 7-9.30pm. Then on Saturday nights she started ‘The Electric Disco Show’ from 6-9pm playing dance classics and some tasty new releases. To date Jenny still hosts her Friday night show on the station and Saturday nights Electric Disco show at the later time of 7pm to 10pm. Following the huge popularity of The Electric Disco Radio show Jenny released "The Electric Disco Album" in November 2009. A brand new Double CD jam packed with Electric Disco favorites. To celebrate the release of the new album, RTE 2fm and Jenny launched "The Electric Disco Album Tour" which has since become Ireland's busiest and most talked about dance music tour, single-handedly selling out nightclubs and theatres across the country positioning Jenny Greene at the forefront of Irish clubbing today. SASH! |
Surely, in the pop-universe, anything is possible...but that someone from Viersen near Mönchengladbach starts a world career is a little bit unbelievable but true! That a boy from the Niederrhein produces pop melody`s who are going around the planet through clubs and charts is one of the big success stories of German pop music. After now just fifteen years of big success and 22 million international sold CD`s are all the hits together on one album. SASH! - Best Of. All the songs entered the charts around the World almost everywhere in the top ten positions. SASH! Made a trip into the Business-Class of the charts where normally only Madonna, Ricky Martin or U2 getting the top spots. The first song in 1994 was called CARECA-INDIAN RAVE. The first single IT`S MY LIFE came out in 1995 and became straight a club hit all over Europe. But the big breakthrough came with ENCORE UNE FOIS in 1996. A perfect mix from progressive House, trance beats, and of course Pop sounds. After this one hit came after the other. ECUADOR, STAY, LA PRIMAVERA, MYSTERIOUS TIMES, MOVE MANIA, COLOUR THE WORLD, ADELANTE, JUST AROUND THE HILL and WITH MY OWN EYES, GANBAREH, RUN, I BELIEVE, RAINDROPS MIRROR MIRROR. The SASH! Team worked with a lot of different vocalists like Adrian Rodriguez, Shannon, Tina Cousins, Dr. Alban, Sarah Brightman and Boy George. SASH! Is not only successful in Europe, no, as well in the USA (diverse number one hits in the Hot 100 Billboard Dance Charts) in New Zealand, Russia, Australia, South Africa and Japan. After 15 years of SASH! and selling more then 22 Million CD`s the Best Of Album did reach again Platinum status in United Kingdom. Now in 2011 SASH! did release again a new single named MIRROR MIRROR, and a new album that is called "LIFE IS A BEACH" !!! But like in the tradition with all the big producers is Sascha Lappessen still a person who doesn`t like VIP Partys and all this glamour, now he is enjoying the perfect form of glory . Living in silence, in his new house with swimming pool and sauna,... but not in London, New York or Monte Carlo,..he still lives in Viersen. For bookings please contact john.swift@mex.ie |

DJ Scot Project |
DJ Scot Project a.k.a. Frank Zenker is a German trance DJ. He is considered to be one of the founders of hard trance, and producing under aliases such as "Arome" and "TOCS". He is known for the complicated way he builds up his DJ sets and productions, specifically incorporating long buildups and postponing the moment in which his songs climax, often in separate bursts. His trademark sound is characterized by hard kick drums and sawing bass lines, coupled with, at times, extremely melodic long breakdowns. He started as a DJ in 1986, playing mainly break-dance music. When acid house increased in popularity, he incorporated these sounds into his sets. By mixing the older styles along with new sounds from the acid house scene, he created his own sound and style. After 1990 he was based in Frankfurt. At first he concentrated mainly on remixes, but later followed his own singles. He enjoyed a large hit with the track "X" in 1995, which appeared on the hard trance and trance label Overdose, where he played an important role in defining that label's unique sound. He became increasingly famous outside Germany after 2000, especially after a record which became well known in the hard trance scene - "thunder in paradise" - a record which typified the evolution of hard trance as a mainstream dance music genre. Along with Russian mafia and DJ Tom-X, Scot Project is among other things considered as the most important representatives of the German hard trance sound. He also produces under the name "Arome" alias, as well as "fish ion" and "Paradise and Scream", and is also famous for a remix of the classic Derb - Derb. In 2004, one of Scot's largest hits "I (Want Your Love)" became so big that it smashed the number one hit at the time from Eric Prydz's "Call on Me" out of the charts.
